This milestone confirms Mannix as a leader in student accommodation, underscoring our dedication to providing an exceptional, supportive, and inclusive community. Principal Andrew Swan shared, “This accreditation is a testament to our commitment to a safe, vibrant environment, making Mannix a premier choice for students seeking a secure and enriching residential experience at Monash University.” Highlights of the RES Accreditation: > Benchmarking Excellence: RES allows us to measure our performance against top student accommodation providers domestically and globally, setting a higher standard in Australia. > Independent Validation: Through this rigorous external assessment, Mannix College showcases a high-quality living experience, providing prospective students and stakeholders with the assurance of impartial validation. > Community Feedback: 70% of our residents provided detailed feedback, giving us valuable insights further to enhance safety, inclusivity, and student satisfaction. The Residential Experience Standard is a pioneering initiative by APSAA - Asia-Pacific Student Accommodation Association and UK-based Investors in Students (IIS), aimed at raising the bar for student accommodation through rigorous, evidence-based assessment. 🌟 Resident Spotlight: Lucy🌟 Originally from Ocean Grove, Lucy is in her first year studying Biomed at Monash Uni. Outside of her studies, Lucy is a passionate musician and enthusiastic community member. WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT MANNIX? “How it is such a safe and welcoming community which has helped me flourish and grow.” HOW DOES THE MANNIX CULTURE HELP PEOPLE TO FEEL THAT THEY BELONG? “The Mannix culture is very safe and inclusive. There is so much work put into different sub-committee groups such as queer and mental health, which allow like-minded people to connect and grow together.
