Gryphon Gala: Celebrating Mannix Then, Now & Forever
Mannix College transformed into a vibrant hub of nostalgia and joy on November 25 as over 130 alumni, current residents, and guests gathered for the Gryphon Gala. This event was not merely a reunion; it was a jubilant journey through the rich history and bright future of Mannix, embodying the spirit of Mannix through the years.
A Stroll Down Memory Lane
The Gala was a festive carousel of activities that sparked a delightful sense of déjà vu among the attendees. Alumni embarked on guided tours, reliving cherished moments as they revisited their old dorms, now poignant symbols of their formative years. The halls also showcased a curated photo exhibition, weaving a visual narrative of Mannix’s evolution, balancing change with cherished traditions.
Milestone Reunions
The event marked significant anniversaries for 1973, 1983, 1993, 2003, and 2013 cohorts. These reunions were more than gatherings; they were heartfelt celebrations of lifelong friendships and shared experiences. Alumni indulged in storytelling, reflecting on their transformative journeys at Mannix, accompanied by a rich tapestry of photographs from their college days.
Dinner and Melodies in the Dining Hall
The Dining Hall resonated with laughter and camaraderie as attendees savoured a sumptuous three-course meal. The Old Collegian band further enlivened the evening, whose melodies stirred a sea of memories. The atmosphere was electric, reminiscent of the excitement of a first-year move-in day.

The evening’s pinnacle was the presentation of the Alumni Awards, celebrating the remarkable achievements of Mannix community members:
