GradReady Principal’s Scholarship Recipient: Josephine Younan
This year, the College has been delighted to accept an opportunity from GradReady to award their Principal’s Scholarship.
GradReady has helped over 9000 students prepare for the GAMSAT exam since 2010, with an average improvement of 20 percentile points 9 years in a row.
This opportunity was open to all returning Mannix residents in 2023, but particularly designed for prospective medical students, providing comprehensive preparation for the Graduate Medical Schools Admission Test (GAMSAT).
Valued at $1,650, the scholarship includes 75 hours of in-person support at The University of Melbourne over 6 x Weekends.
Applicants submitted a reflective response to the question, ‘why should I be awarded this opportunity?’
In a strong field of applicants, Josephine said “I am so happy to receive this scholarship and be able to share my learnings with other Biomedicine students.”
As a proud indigenous woman of Iraq, Josephine is passionate about diversity and inclusion in the Medical field and hopes to go on to become a doctor and specialise in paediatrics.
Josephine’s favourite part about Mannix is the opportunities to connect with others and form life-long friendships.
Principal, Andrew Swan, said “Mannix values academic excellence, and so we are proud to work with GradReady to offer this new and exciting scholarship to our residents. Josephine is a deserving recipient and we wish her all the best for her scholarship experience”
Congratulations Josephine!
