We are thrilled to recognise the exceptional achievements of a few of our most dedicated and talented students with this year’s Mannix College Annual Awards. These awards celebrate those who have gone above and beyond to contribute to the community and embody the values that define life at Mannix.

The nominations came from student leaders and staff, and the votes were close across all categories, reflecting how many residents have made a meaningful impact. Congratulations to all nominees and winners!

Below are the winners of our 2024 awards.


Sports People of the Year

These awards, selected by the MCSS Sports Reps, celebrate residents who have made an extraordinary contribution to Mannix College’s sporting life.

Winners: Matisse Hill & Jack Copland


Monash Blues Awards

Selected by the Monash Blues Football Club, these awards recognise the best and fairest players from Mannix College who represented the club this season.

  • Keith Freason Award (Best & Fairest – Men’s Team): Archer Vague
  • Alana Woodward Award (Best & Fairest – Women’s Team): Mia Kirby

Community Spirit Award

This award, which is awarded to first-year resident, recognises a student whose active involvement and positive presence have strengthened the College’s sense of community.

Winner: Maddie Steer


Alan Zavod Award for Musical Performance

This award celebrates a resident whose musical talent has enriched the cultural life of the College through regular and inspiring performances.

Winner: Alex Aidt


Principal’s Award for the Academic Collegian of the Year

Awarded to a student who has successfully balanced academic excellence with a commitment to the personal, social, sporting, and cultural values that define Mannix College.

Winner: Toby Mew


Gold Collegian Award

Sponsored by MOCA, this award recognises an unsung hero who has made a remarkable contribution to College life without holding an official leadership position as an RA or Committee member.

Winner: Josh Mekken


Student Achievement Award

The Student Achievement Award is Mannix College’s highest honour. It is awarded to a resident who has made a significant contribution to College life and exemplifies our core values of respect, integrity, excellence, and community spirit.

Winner: Lauren Dillon


We are incredibly proud of all our winners. Your dedication, hard work, and positive impact on the Mannix community have not only made a difference this year but will inspire others for years to come.
