Celebrating academic success
On August 3, the College’s academic focus was celebrated with an Academic Awards dinner. Joined by the College Fellows and Tutors, the College announced the winners of 26 Knox Scholarships and recognised 48 students who achieved a High-Distinction average in periods Semester 2, 2021 and/or Semester 1, 2022. The awards were presented by Professor Bryan Horrigan, College Council Member and Dean of Law at Monash University.
The College supports all students with access to tutorials, workshops and events as well as academic spaces such as the library and group rooms.
Overall, the College obtained a Distinction average grade for Semester 1, 2022. Principal Andrew Swan remarked that, “these strong results demonstrate the talent and hard-work of Mannix students and are something the College is very proud to support.”
The Knox Scholarships are awarded in memory of Cardinal James Robert Knox, Archbishop of Melbourne between 1967 – 1974, and have been generously made available by the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne. Scholarships are awarded each semester on the basis of outstanding academic achievement. The full list of recipients is at the bottom of this article.
The College congratulates all students on their academic effort and progress.
