Careers Breakfast
On August 15, we brought together past and present stars of our community for a conversation about careers at the Mannix Careers Breakfast.
Over a hot breakfast, we enjoyed insightful exchanges, networking, and inspiring advice. A generous alumni panel with Alexander Unmack (2021), Phoebe Hewson (2020), Dr Saada Malouf (2010), Charles Driscoll (2004), Maria Coleman (1988), and Roxanne Calder (1987) showcased their remarkable journeys from our campus to the world beyond, sharing their tips and tricks to stand out from the crowd.
Networking sessions were a highlight, where students could connect with alumni in their future fields and others of interest.
With 100 people in the room, the event emphasized the power of our tight-knit community in fostering growth and collaboration. The event complements the other career supports available to residents, such as the Student and Alumni Mentoring Program (StAMP) and job seeking support provided by the staff for students looking for jobs near or on campus whilst they study.
Thank you to Monash University Career Connect, the Mannix Old Collegians Association (MOCA) and our fabulous alumni for supporting our current residents’ career journeys. Thanks also to James Witcombe and The Candidate Coach, for kindly donating our lucky door prize of a 1-hour careers consultation for one lucky student.
