Archbishop’s Scholarships – Apply Now for 2027!
Mannix College is delighted to announce the Archbishop’s Scholarships, an exciting new opportunity for Catholic students commencing university and residential life at Mannix in 2027.
Established through the generous support of the Archbishop of Melbourne, these scholarships recognise young Catholics who demonstrate leadership, service, faith and a commitment to making a positive difference in their communities.
Scholarship at a glance
- Value: $5,000 per scholarship
- Number available: Two scholarships awarded annually
- Eligibility: Catholic students from within the Archdiocese of Melbourne commencing residence at Mannix College
- 2027 application deadline: 15 November 2026
More than a scholarship
As the Catholic residential college at Monash University, Mannix has supported generations of students as they transition from school to university and into adulthood.
At Mannix, students become part of a welcoming, close-knit community where academic ambition is complemented by friendship, leadership, service, faith, sport and a genuine sense of belonging.
The Archbishop’s Scholarships aim to support students who will embrace these opportunities, grow in confidence and character, deepen their values and faith, and contribute generously to College life and the wider community.
These scholarships reflect the strong relationship between the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne and Mannix College, and our shared commitment to nurturing the next generation of Catholic leaders.
Who should apply?
We encourage applications from Catholic students who:
- Are commencing their studies at Monash University in 2027 and intend to live at Mannix College.
- Come from within* the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne.
- Have demonstrated a commitment to their Catholic faith and values.
- Have contributed to their school, parish or wider community through leadership, volunteering or service.
- Are enthusiastic about contributing to the life and community of Mannix College.
We are looking for students who will not only benefit from the Mannix experience but also enrich our community through their kindness, friendship, leadership and service.
*A note on eligibility: Catholic students from outside the Archdiocese of Melbourne are also welcome to apply. While preference will be given to eligible students from within the Archdiocese, applicants from elsewhere may be considered if scholarships remain available.
How to apply
Applications for the 2027 Archbishop’s Scholarships close on 15 November 2026.
Students must also apply for residency at Mannix College.
